well if everything is tried.. too bad :)
BTW what's a "question" tag doing on a random post? I don't see any questions here -
It's an addiction. You need accountability to help you start. You mention you've tried plugins, but have you tried one of the plugins that sends all your activity to the person of your choice (ideally your wife) and prevents uninstalling? E.g. Covenant Eyes (haven't really tested it personally but know people who have).
As an aside, religion doesn't work as a tool to simply cut out vices. What makes religion so powerful in changing these behaviors is that it affects the core of who you are and what your purpose is. If you try just going to some church and "do your time" to get some personal improvements, you're wasting your time. It has to run deeper than that. -
colaguy5466y@nathanasius I don't want to rely on external things anymore. The only option is to deal with it myself, that's what I believe.

@colaguy I'm sure many addicts who overdosed thought they should handle it on their own as well. It is so hard to admit that something is out of our power. We'd give anything to retain the feeling of control. But society exists precisely to help individuals to surmount obstacles that they cannot surmount alone.
-
colaguy5466y@nathanasius As mentioned, I've already got help, and it has helped a lot to understand the sequence of behavior that leads to porn.
However, I'm aware of it, but its like the mind overpowers my ability to control. It's strange I know.. -
@netikras its like you just went for one of the shittiest responses to someone's situation just so you can drill them on tag etiquette.
-
Where you visiting your psychiatric specialist for a long period of time or was it an on/off thing?
Hope your situation gets better man. -
colaguy5466y@AleCx04 thanks, it was 10 hours in total, 1 hour per day. I've heard about ways to control energy and even hypnosis to overcome this addiction.
Curious to try it.
Its really difficult to be productive with this addiction, especially if most of your work is in front of the computer. -
colaguy5466y@netikras There is something that is known as "relate" in which means that if you share your thoughts, there may be someone out there with a similar issue that can "relate".
Someone might have the answer or simply share the same issue with his/her point of view.
As mentioned, not everything must end with a question mark.

I've talked to people, psychiatrists and tried religion just so I can stop watching porn.
I have a beautiful wife, MSc degree in engineering and well-payed job.
But for some reason, whenever I'm alone my mind bursts images of porn, and before I know it, I'm watching porn.
Despite the things I've achieved, it feels like my true potential is hold back.
This influences my mood, development work and so on.
Mindfulness doesn't work, plugins to block it doesn't work and talking to someone doesn't work. Everything is tried.
