ajit55518516yI am new to this but would love to know the setup details, a blog may be, is that a Linux board driving this?
-
@ajit555 not sure how it is with other CNC machines but 3D printers dont work with linux or something. Its running custom firmware, most consumer printers use Marlin for example
-
For the Driving hardware, for now I'm using a Arduino with a CNC shield;
ex: https://aliexpress.com/item/...
As for software I'm using "Universal G-Code Sender Platform"
The support Is hard pine wood, Mounting parts are Printed pieces in 3D, calibrated rods, ...
But yes, there are specific CNC shields that work with linux.
What more would you like to know? -
The firmware is GRBL because it works really nice with the CNC shield

Some pieces I had to buy, for your reference:

Btw, I didnt buy the calibrated rods... Most printers has one, some are 8mm calibrated :D got 6 8mm, a few 6mm, 9mm and one 12mm from dismounting printers for the 8mm rods (plus some transformers)
-
Now I need to upgrade the bed lol It's to small to really take advantage of 400mm rods
-
@GyroGearloose can you tell me the difference between a CNC mill and a CNC router?
-
CnC, thought you mean Command'n Control as in those pesky malware empowering servers 😅
