    What the hell

What year model? Does it have a cassette?

@Stuxnet 2007 VW golf... The original owner had tonnes of extras but didn't opt for fucking Bluetooth...

Going to need to get an after market radio :'-(

@lxmcf my first car was an '04 but it didn't have aux or Bluetooth. However, it had a cassette player so I bought a cassette to Aux thingy and it worked like a charm.

Now I'm at a '14 and it's got an aux and Bluetooth, so I'm good lol

    @Stuxnet lucky!!!

No cassette unfortunately, but hey the car is diesel so I'm happy
  • 1
@lxmcf wait why is that good? lol
  • 2
@Stuxnet fuel economy and diesel prices in Australia are pretty great

@lxmcf open the middle arm console and take a closer look at the walls. Perhaps the aux is placed there. I found one there and I'm not sure if I ordered it as an extra.

@M1sf3t gonna be honest, I'd kinda love to have a cassette player, don't know why

@M1sf3t I am one off those young lads, never used cassettes but I'm super fascinated by that shit

    @M1sf3t no bloody clue haha

I have a personal love for "old" tech, hence why I have an old latch lock key tattoo'd on me

Just buy one of those radio transmitters wich you can insert into the cigarette port. Then you have BL, AUX and sd-card ;)

@Jere have 2, both of them have a LOT of static background noise :-(
  • 0
@lxmcf oh for me that worked well. Even better than the radio quality..
  • 0
@Jere I wish that was the case man :-(
  • 0
Why do you need one? Dont you have decent radio programmes out there?
  • 2
@netikras well I'm a man who listens to Europe, ACDC, wham, disturbed, Killswitch engage... That shit will never get played on radio here...

(Modern day music can suck a dick)

You probably could find a place where to stick an AUX jack if you really wanted to. Some car forum might even have instructions for it.

@electrineer I know of a place but it requires I buy a proprietary VW media module and yeah no
  • 1
@lxmcf I meant soldering wires to the amp
  • 1
@electrineer oh god, I would be able to do it easy as but at that point it's sort of getting a bit too getto for me

@lxmcf there's a thin line between ghetto and high-end custom work. It could even be better than one of those aftermarket radios which focus more on the flashing lights than sound quality

@lxmcf okay, I guess I'll never understand such people :)

Oh man, that really sucks, when I got mine it didn't include a radio... For long rides I took a bluetooth speaker and my phone to spotify all the way. Fortunately it was in christmas session so I asked for a bluetooth radio to the company I work for 😅

Ps: for christmas at work they gifts you something you ask in certain price range, in a online retailer

@JhonDoe Yo that's fucking lit dude. Hella nice company

I had to use a speaker for a week when I had to borrow my parents old car for a few days. It didn't have a cassette player or BT so my cassette to aux was useless.

I burned CDs for the first few days but I got tired of hearing the same songs lmao

There are cheap bluetooth modules on banggood or ebay. If youre into modding and not afraid to damage the interiour of your car a little bit you can easily modify it to support aux or even sd card

@M1sf3t By damage i meant more like cutting a hole in your cockpit to fit stuff in. Implying you do it right and never uninstall the upgrade there won't be visible imperfections.

@M1sf3t I'd hire a professional so if they fuck up, they're liable whereas if I fuck up, it's my fault.

Like I need a new speaker in my car bc one is busted. I'm fairly certain I could do it myself with a few hours of research and asking ppl ik that can do it.

But honestly, I'd rather just pay $50 or so to have someone who knows wtf they're doing to do it for me. That way I'm not fucking my car up.

Small update: spoke to an audio outfitter and they can put in, wire up and give warranty on an android auto dash unit for only $1000 AUD... Piece of piss
