iAmNaN68456yThat's not a good thing. They aren't being transparent with you. Just for context sake, 35-45000 what? Euros? Zloty? Yen? Zimbabwean Dollars, chickens, goats?

@icycrash if they are dishonest with salary they will be dishonest with requirements, promotion, tech stack etc what if you face some kind o work place abuse. A dishonest hr Dept is the last thing u need on your side

icycrash6836y@thevariableman they are hiring as a 1099 subcontractor so I could leave at any moment but still.

bahua128016yTell them the truth: your interest in the position evaporated when the offer came lower than the advertised low end of the range.
Ask them why the offer was so much lower than the amount under which you proceeded through the hiring process.
If it's some kind of test, then you don't want to work there. If it's a real offer, then you don't want to work there. If you accept that offer, you will send them a clear message, "you should not place any value on my time." You will never get a decent payraise from them, if you accept that offer. -
icycrash6836y@oreru same company. I'm waiting on an offer from a different company tonight. I'm just ready to leave my current job. It nearly made that 26000 look good.
