is HTML a programming language for you?

    It has input and output, but can't do any processing. So no, it's not a programming language.

    No its not. Cant process anything even tough it holds value in its form tag.

    @gronostaj , @pai-shinoda but it's a declarative language am i wrong ? i mean yes ! you don't say how that result should be obtained but you say what you want as a result.

    It’s declarative, like XML, JSON and to some extent SQL (although sql can perform calculations)

    But in the dev world it’s not regarded a programming language with out the assistance of css3 or js.

    Take a checkered piece of paper. You can write formated mathematical equations on it and it can be read. Can you tell the paper to solve the problem for you?
    Comparing HTML to a programming language is like comparing a piece of paper to a calculator.

    @Kimmax Hmm, but you can also write your program in a Real Programming Language on a piece of paper and it still won't solve a problem for you.

    @gronostaj because the paper is represents the HTML as 'medium'. That would be like writing C# on a static website. It's a loose comparison, to guide the mind. Nothing to take too serious
