Knowing SO, they probably deleted some super useful answer of yours that was worth 1k points because it violated some super obscure rule.

Root797786yTo clarify, it's not from downvotes, and the rep graph doesn't show any downward movement. So either the scoring changed, or some of my questions are now gone. Which they are. I'm down to 9 now? lol
I didn't think SO questions ever went away. -
I honestly don't know. I actively participated in SO for one summer in college and got sick of the culture and stopped. I'm more of a "spirit of the law" and "actually helping people" kind of person while SO felt very "letter of the law, even if counterproductive" kind of place. 😅I used to find it super useful back then but not so much anymore? Either the tech I'm using is mature and stable enough that it has good docs, or it's so new/obscure/fast-moving that I'm better off looking at the source code. SO seems to have an awful lot of outdated/incomplete answers that never get fixed up later. There are still some good nuggets here and there but it's no longer my first go-to like it used to be.

I really, really prefer paying no mind to the shifting sands of SO.
They constantly fuck with stuff that isn't broken. The constant competition to enforce the rules make it a dick fest, and everyone loses.
I'm convinced every SO user sees a question, asks themselves if it violates any of the 42069 rules they memorized, and THEN reads the question if all checks pass.
This rant has been marked duplicate btw. -
HogDev12496y@HollowKitty Same, I can understand that they dont want to get asked the same questions thats been asked about the N'th time without research. But I've seen some realy good questions been asked where the user has done the research and formulated the question in a good way, gotten the ever stamp of "possible duplicate?".

On the plus side, they probably have some bullshit "dropped 1000 points in a day" badge.

Neat. My StackOverflow reputation dropped like 1k points or more since I last checked ~six months ago.
No clue why.
(Also don't care.)
