The best one I attended to are, sad to say, Microsoft's... Damn! They use professional artist/performers to entertain the participants. They do know how to tickle 'em. The raffle prizes are way too good to miss too.

That swag is good, here too! Plenty of free T-shirts. I use Drupal as a backend and the only thing that sucks about it is the documentation.

So far every tech conference I’ve been to has been boring. Going up and talking about something on stage is more than knowing the content, the speaker should keep the audience interested, presenting something on stage is an art in itself. This is why I just hang out and talk to people, eat free food and wait for the after party, I can watch a boring talk on any topic later on YouTube.

@52cal true, conferences today are more about the get together and get to know like minded people. The content becomes somewhat irrelevant because of the internet.
