Jilano273045yHave you tried dwm (https://dwm.suckless.org/)? Who knows light be "the" one for you!
-
@Jilano I'll have to give it at go! Was using st but am kind of use to termite, so I switched back. Thanks for the suggestion!
-
Jilano273045y@dontPanic Suckless' apps are special for sure, but quite great once you've got the hang of it!
@unreliable Did you apply some patches? I think Like Smith has a version already patched on his GitHub. -
@Jilano That's exactly where I got mine from! Without patches it feels very barebones. I'd like to customize his even further but don't have the time being that the semester is coming to an end.
-
I wonder how much productive time is lost due to the excessive choice available on Linux... That said I'm going to change the font in my conky and maybe dock it in on the right as a panel
-
Jilano273045y@unreliable Definitely! And I can understand the "time problem". Like @seraphimsystems said, between the insane amount of choice and possibilities of customisation, one needs lots of free time to be able to get something great.

I've gone through so many tiling wm this semester and can't figure out what I like best...
i3, bspwm, xmonad, windowchef, herbstuffwm, awesomewm, fvwm, etc.
I love the cleanliness and productivity aspect of them compared to something like Windows and it's floating/snap feature. Awesomewm looks like a good choice but the config scripting is quite verbose.
So many choices! Probably doesn't help I want to keep it consistent across my laptop and 3 monitor setup (1 21:9, 2 16:9).
