my job history is quit, fired, quit, fired, fired, until that 6th job where I really hit it off, hang in there bud.

Seriously, HOW do you people manage to get fired???
I've whitnessed only one techie being fired, but it's because he was too rogue, mgmt could not control him and he was fucking up our team work by stepping on our toes every possible way.
How the hell do you manage to fuck up THAT bad?? -
potata14806y@netikras We've fired multiple people over the years. Top reasons (in no order whatsoever):
1. Wasn't adaptive enough - this impacted with the fact that they wanted to follow patterns blindly without even having needs for it. This costed us way too much and clients were having delayed deliveries.
2. Was just too slow - again, clients were unhappy and with given 3 months period to speed up the development - it didn't change a bit.
3. Unreliable - Since we work on remote most of the time - we don't care how much you work, as long as you get the job done. Well, there were people that never got the job done on time and was always late at least 3 days.
4. Politically correct - This was the worst case when a person was assumed to be always correct and everyone around him was wrong. Even if we had a better solution or there was a need - he'd never do it as it's not the correct way. This ended up in undelivered things and conflicts in the team. -
Tnx for the support guys.
I blame it partially on myself. Ofcourse i could maybe have been more proavtive or something. But it’s also part of the dutch jobmarket.
Luckily it never lasted more then two months. Just makes you feel like garbage sometimes.
As i’ve seen at least 8 people leaving the current company i’m in, i’m again wondering if i should sign my new contract.
But hey, i’m happy i have this job.
