My sophomore year I used to walk into my 1st class like 10 minutes late every day, and sometimes the teacher was down the hall when I was walking in. I used to tell him every day "I'm not late, you're later than I am", and I would never get marked as late.

@FrodoSwaggins It happens. Two of our previous department managers were constantly 5~10 min. late. Nobody in our area cared since they did stay late most days. When *1* developer decided his time started at 8:30 every day, mgrs cracked down and started giving tardies (we're salaried) for devs being late.

Due to car trouble, I was 2 minutes late twice in one week (usualy in the door 20+ min. early).

Mgr called me into his office to give me a 'friendly reminder' about the company's attendance policy and the tardies could affect any EOY bonuses.

Me: "On those two days, I beat you here."

Mgr: "This is one of those 'do as I say, not as I do' situations."

Je: Boss imma gonna be 30 min late today
B0$$: 30 min later than your average?
Je: 30 min earlier than the team average

Boss is never late, he is needed in other places.

Idk why but I always make it a point to reach before my boss.

I would quit on the spot tbh.
