    Or some other chromium browser or Vivaldi.

    Or just use the worse ad blockers that will still exist.

    Google had a right to generate revenue, given they most of us live in relatively free market societies. If Google's choices become unpopular with users will look elsewhere, and the market will force Google to change. Living in a free market society mean living with profit motive for retailers.

    @electrineer i guess chromium would also be pretty much follow it (or you'd have to edit the code and compile it all by yourself)

    And why other browsers(that are derived from chromium) when you can support Firefox?
    Firefox is a great browser

    @iAmNaN but you can instead choose to support Firefox instead

    @iAmNaN This, and it isn't a bad thing.

    (Stealing and selling private data, however, is. They're very different things.)

    Or maybe a not shit browser like opera, brave, vivaldi, edge

    I want to be in control to what code my computer is executing. If I dont want my computer to download something, it sure as hell shouldn't.

    The ads are way too pervasive, not to mention what they are executing is untrusted third party code a privacy disaster.

    To google: I hope everyone promptly shits on your fast spyware and start using actual privacy respecting free (as in freedom) software, where corporate wont dictate you what can/cant't you do.

    @RTRMS oh come on
    Firefox isn't bad at all

    Schools, maybe. I can guarantee you, because of legal issues, they won't collect data from corporate users; that's a lawsuit they wouldn't win.
