I need a new laptop. Fucking 8gigs of ram aren't enough for anything these days.

Any recommendations whether to buy ryzen mobile or IntelU. I want an ultrabook because I move around quite a lot.

I had a private 32GB laptop I broke and hadn't time to repair...

And I got a work laptop with 8GB (and that's max it can handle), handed down from a salesperson to me, a dev, who has to run a VM and obviously an IDE. Had 5 freezes in one day once, but generally it works fine, lol.

Ryzen >> Intel, as long as you pair it with decent ram (not just size, but also speed).
Of course, if your system is bloated af, there's only so much you can do by throwing more hardware at it

If you want an ultrabook go for an XPS 13. O have one myself and it runs Linux without a hitch.
