Do you use the well known "pattern" for positioning fingers on the keyboard for faster typing, or you just came up with your own "pattern" as time passed?

    I'm a gamer since the 90's,
WASD + IJKL is the default rest position.

I use the "standard" finger positioning, but I on't think I reach for all the keys the way that I was taught in keyboarding class. I almost never use the right SHIFT key. I have a friend who doesn't use SHIFT at all unless she needs symbols, she toggles CAPS LOCK every time she wants to use a capital letter.

I never learned a proper way to position hands, I came up with what works best for me with time but turns out that my pattern is almost the same as the proper way 🤷🏻‍♂️

    I'm also gamer but for me it's W, A, S ,D + I, N
Also I won typing contest like 1.5year ago and my speed in competition was 68 WPM as they had some kind of software which calculated WPM and other shits.

People always ask me how tf you type so fast and I always tell them I used to play WoW at night and for raiding I didn't had mic at that time so I fucking used to type all the way in raid chat w/o even looking at keyboard(as the lights were always off and looking at keyboard was useless lol)
