Fuck this shit! Roommate just barged in at 3:30AM, his gf in tow. They went to bed like I am not here and he is snoring like a chainsaw. I never understood how can she sleep next to him while he snores like that. I have earplugs and active noise cancelling headphones on. I can still hear that motherfucker loud and clear. How the fuck is she not awake?!

But more importantly, 50% of this fucking room is mine, what makes him think he can just have his girlfriend over while I am here is beyond me. Like, sure, if I am not here go ahead but when I am here I would like some privacy, I guess the plank wall that I made in the middle of the room is not an obvious enough clue that I want privacy and I don't want to be disturbed :-/

Can't wait to have enough proof of his bullshit to get the block manager to throw him out.

Edit: To add to the snoring problem: I had a girlfriend who would snore, less than my roommate but still loud enough that I was awake the whole night when I went to sleep at her place... I HATE SNORING ... And when I went home for some holidays and my brother snored even for a second I kicked him off of his bed (because why not, he is an asshole to me like 99% of the time - and so am I to him :D //sibling love//)

    Turn the head so it facing left or right side

    @byteCode As you just described you have your 50% room and even you have separated the area with a plank in between. Still barging with his girlfriend and stealing your privacy, is totally a case of buffer overflow. He's reading that memory blocks which he should clearly not access. Report this vulnerability to the manager aur debug it by yourself. Because buffer overflows can't be ignored.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    I spent a summer at my uncle's house. Now he is a huge guy (2 meters tall and weighs probably around 150kg), and he would have the habbit of falling asleep on the couch in the living room, which was right to the room that I would sleep in. He usually won't go to bed until like 4am when he realizes he fell asleep on the couch.
    Now I don't mind sounds while falling asleep, I can even deal with an annoying clock, but his snoring... OMG the walls were shaking I shit you not! Ended up sleeping on the terrasse for the rest of the summer

    @devTea yea... that would not be awkward at all, right? turning his head (which does nothing in his case - I asked him several times to try falling asleep in different positions so that maybe I could get some sleep) while he and his gf are spooning...

    @bytecode but that’s a scientific fact

    I guess with that sort of behaviour from that guy you can be glad they went to sleep directly.

    @devTea yea...but it just does not work on him... he can even be upside down and he still snores

    @possum true

    I hated this guy from the moment he walked in, he keeps leaving stuff in my part of the room, eats smelly indian food, keeps closing the window when there is >3000ppm concentration of CO2 and/or >28°C inside, taking up 90% of the wardrobe and complaining that I have my clothes on my table (neatly folded and ordered ofc)... It's my fucking part of the room and he is taking up the whole wardrobe, what the fuck am I supposed to do?! I can't wait for this motherfucker to go back to India for the summer... and after the summer I hope to move into another room with my friend who is going to study at the same faculty as me.

    I may have missed something, but is this a college dorm situation? Just asking. But even so, normally I think about something I read on this site and offer some kind of solution. But no way are you going to make this guy see what a fuckwad he is.
    Unless you want to get a water pistol and fire it at them whilst they're sleeping. Then, when they wake up all stroppy, you can innocently ask, "Oh, did the water pistol wake you, motherfuckers?" I just don't have a green/yellow/red light for people who take advantage.

    @bols59 yes, this is a college dorm with around 500 people per block living here (12 blocks in total)
    I am used to having reduced privacy due to the paper-thin walls but what this asshole did was just too much

    FUCKING HELL, he did it again, can't wait for the morning so I can go to the block manager and get his ass thrown out. I am pretty sure that he had not registered her as a visitor and paid the fee.
