FUCK MY LIFE!

MY DEPARTMENT IS IN SEARCH OF 3 PYTHON DEVS (1 expert, 2 "normal") FOR DEVELOPING AUTOMATIC THINGS!!! I would seriously apply because it's like my first dev job without having attended University.

But only for two years... After that I have to reapply for my old job.. but it's two (expert 3) salary groups up from mine...

What to do?

Also fuck python but I would learn it for God's sake

Well... I am a python fanboy. You know what I would say. :)

@-ANGRY-CLIENT- fuck you too! Just kidding. I developed with every common language except python... So I love my semicolons

If it's a step up career-wise, I'd go for it. Even if you have to look for another job afterwards, you'll still be able to demand a better pay and position thanks to your previous experience.
And python is not that bad after all. Sure, you may find annoying the lack of semicolons and the forced indentation, but it's actually not a big deal once you get things rolling.
    I'd go for it

@endor Well if I stay in our department and in the same company I couldn't easily step up afterwards, it's pretty high payment for someone without University attendence

@SteffTek OR, you could start looking for other jobs as well in the meantime ;)
Sure, not having a degree is often an issue nowadays, but if you sell your experience well, you might just get away with it.
Then again, it's your choice. I'm just trying to look at this from all possible angles

@endor jeah.. but inside the company is normally relatively easy to switch. Also I got 44 days for vacation here ^^

And I don't think I can go easily anywhere else because now I am only 20 years old. (Programming since 9 or 10 years old)

@vlatkozelka @-ANGRY-CLIENT- @endor so I talked with my current boss about the thing with the 2 year expiration..

After that period the project I will be working for could

A: be increased in running time
B: will be over, in that case I won't lose my job, in our department (a quarter of Germany big) I could be used anywhere where there is a demand. So I can go to my current chef so they can say they need explicitly me

    I am safe guys ❤️

(I could get potentially less money after that project than I get now, but I could apply everywhere within our department Everytime)
