I don't know why everyone's so shocked. Unsubsidized most phones are ranged around this price, that includes iPhones, Galaxy SX and high end HTC phones.

@Vikram I don't think Google was ever a people's company. Like @edisonn said, Google made money from selling you. I don't necessarily think that's cheaper.

If you're not paying for the product, you ARE the product.

Keep in mind that this is a Pixel product after all... Chromebook Pixel (Premium, High Price) Pixel C (Premium, High Price) same goes with these... Although 650 is a average price for a high end phone... And WHY THE HELL DO YOU NEED 128GB......

Don't say for photos or videos... Because you have unlimited storage with Google Photos. And you have unlimited music with Google Play Music.. Apps?? That's still a lot of apps.....

Also if you want something that's cheap but more high end. You should look into BLU or Xiaomi. They are normally close to stock too

@arg410 you'd be surprised how quickly that can fill up. I used to have a 64GB and it was about 75% full. Most of it were apps - especially productivity apps. I had both the Apple and Microsoft office suites. Games are huge too - some easily take a couple gigs themselves.

Lastly the pics and videos. I had all my family photos stored in there including my wedding video. My phone was pretty much a backup device

@xroad Well Android doesn't have Apple apps.... And I think Microsoft Office is on Android.... But Just use Google Docs and Sync everything to the cloud.

Really the only problem is Apps... I think for that 64GB could be somewhat reason able... Anyways. Its only 100 to go up to 128.

Overall I think this is mostly focused on people wanting a iPhone 7 but also wanting to switch to Android... Maybe because lack of Headphone jack or something else the 7 did that people dis it for..... I honestly don't mind neither the iPhone 7 or Pixel. Think they are right where they need to be.

The only thing going for Google was it's price point since all of my end users use apple. Now they've lost their edge and that sucks.

Now i'm sure to keep my Nexus 6 for a long time...
