maybe, that's a minor update to your policy, but it's a major update to my privacy. No, thanks.

    "Auto-pausing ads during downtimes" - the fuck does that even mean? They pause the ads when their site is down?

    @endor i think it's for when your site is down the ads get paused if you use the FB/Google logins.

    Wait o got this email the other day... you use uptime too?

    @C0D4 when the site is down, you won't be seeing a website at all, let alone the ads 🤣 So what's the scenario here? Someone kept a loaded webpage open while the site went down, so the ads are gonna pause temporarily (at least until a link is clicked or the page refreshed, and then it's "oops, the site is down")

    @endor no no,
    So you run Facebook ads on Facebook.
    Those ads are still costing you money even though the page they point to is down.

    As for google ads... maybe if your the advertiser, not your site showing ads.

    @C0D4 ooooooh, ok that makes much more sense, thanks

    @C0D4 That’s how I read it too. It’s actually a positive in this case I thought..

    @badcopnodonuts I'm making an educated guess, but would make sense.

    I don't use their services anymore but still get the emails.

    That is all :).
    In an email... Smileys in a professional email. 🙂🔫

    @C0D4 wait, if I'm understanding this correctly, this update to the Privacy Policy is so that they can save money for their company?

    why do they bother to put that in the Privacy Policy for their service though? It is an internal thing right? It has nothing to do with the service at all.

    Now here's the real catch ( I think ) : they put it in their privacy policy probably because they maintain another shadow profile of the users from Facebook. That's not good either.

    @Condor I think it was sent by some intern who just joined.

    What my thought was - it's 2019, at least use the unicode emoji 😜
