I'm about to spend 1.5 grand for a digital piano hoping I will finally start learning to play. It just looks so nice

1.5k just to *hope to* start learning? Bad idea.
If you get fed up with it, or you suddenly realize it's not as cool as you thought, you've just wasted a bunch of money for nothing.

Buy a cheapo keyboard for 100$ or so, learn to play, and then go for the big investment.

Besides, digital pianos are neat, but they do not compare with a real piano. Grand piano or bust!

@endor Well I actually already have started learning some time ago and I had quite some fun. But I didn't have enough time because of exams and stuff and both my cheapo keyboard and slightly less cheapo keyboard don't make me happy

Better spend 1.5 digital for a grand piano

@endor kinda hard to find space or money for a grand piano, they are only slightly big and expensive :p

If digital is good enough for the likes of Nahre Sol, it's good enough for me (she does use an acoustic piano too but whatever).
