    @olback honestly I think golang is a great middle step for high to low level

    @Techno-Wizard I've never tried go so I can't say anything about it. I've heard a lot of great things about it though.

    @nitwhiz okay okay, take it easy. The languages I listed run on microcontrollers as well where there is no os. I guess there's still a bootloader though.

    @olback well you aren't wrong actually, but if you reduce the features of languages like js to the features of languages like c (that being essentially just writing memory blocks), of course you could compile it down to assembler and thus being nearly runtime-less.
