Does anyone here use PHPStorm? I upgraded to 2019.2 and it has slowed down considerably. I'm on a MacBook Pro 2017.

Same problem. Most notably when using find in project/wherever.
I simply downgraded for now (no time to investigate)

    You upgraded from what?

I from 2019.1.3 or whatever was pre-2019.2. just the other day. Linux.

I'll just downgrade the slowdown is too noticable. A simple commit takes around 10-12 seconds, before it was like 3.

It's an intermittent bug. None of my colleagues noticed anything.
    Perhaps cache/config/plugin/whothefuckwouldknow issue.
Clean start (backup ~/.ide, ofcourse) and see if it's still happening. If I'd have the time...

I haven't had any issues on my 2013 iMac. Weird.

I noticed some lagginess on Ubuntu 18.04 as well.

Jetbrains IDEs are usually good, but issues with performance when a new version comes out is very common.

Yeah I use it, haven’t noticed performance issues. You can change the indexing and auto suggestion settings that might help.

Sometimes my computer seems to slow down when it has a pending update ready to install weirdly.

@agusmart because you can't compare them? PHP Storm is much more powerful and feature rich...
