@error13 I have woken up in the middle of the night a couple of times and written notes on what to implement the next day.

my girlfriend says I wake up in the middle of the night sometimes and day, "... coding ..." and fall back asleep
-
Seethe4599yAbsolutely, this has happened quite a few times. In fact I've realized that if I get stuck on a problem, After I've tried every method I can think of to solve it, I usually shelve it and the solution comes to me later. Other times solutions come to me are on walks or during work outs when my mind isn't focused on the problem but working the problem in some small part.
-
Mbrp3029yThat happens to me with the hardest bugs. For the rest, I usually have the "morning shower enlightenment moment"
-
MadMikeyB899yAll the time. It's because you've stepped away from the problem but your mind is still catching up and rationalising the problem in the background. If I'm stuck on something at work I'll step outside and often the solutions come to me then.

amit3vr19y@MadMikeyB that's so meta. sounds like your brain runs node.js with that kind of asynchronous capabilities :O
-
Seethe4599y@MadMikeyB this is a daily occurrence for me. I'll step out to take a mile walk and come back with a bunch of implementation strategies / solutions. The key for me is to walk alone because talking distracts my mind too much. I wish Siri were a little quicker about building tasks otherwise I'd use dictation to capture all ideas.

most of the time is on the drive home. But if not then, the. it as Im falling asleep and then I cant sleep.
Does anyone else find themselves dreaming solutions to their code?
