C0D4682115yI know it hates you too.
I don't mind it for "little things" but anything remotely important it gets in the way more times then it's worth. -
I actually like cPanel because it works intuitively. Never had an issue in years. At least with proper administration I guess, but that's the job of the hosting company they make money with.

That is a mood. But to be honest, at least it serves as a basic template to maintain your website before you branch off to other means. At least in my case.

I've wiped multiple servers with cpanel just to replace it with FOSS alternatives if there was some sort of client need, otherwise implemented the needed function much more lightweight into my bootstrapped dashboard for laravel which takes like 5 minutes. 😊
The main issue with cpanel is how bloated and how slow it makes servers that aren't made for it resources wise, yet get it forced by the hosting. -

the c i cpanel stand for cancer
no I hate the software, I hate the philosophy, I hate the users -
neoistone1195dPrevious versions of cPanel were satisfactory, but the latest update introduced numerous bugs and unwarranted features. The primary concern revolves around the compatibility with MySQL 8.0 databases, which severely impacts performance. While MariaDB operates swiftly, the outdated version 10.3 is inadequate compared to versions 10.5, 10.6, and 10.11. This dilemma has led to a significant loss of customers. When I initially launched my hosting company, users migrated from other providers due to the excellent cPanel experience. However, the current cPanel and its support team are far from satisfactory, resulting in a decline in customer satisfaction
I fucking hate cpanel
