I was totally in the zone earlier.

Plenty of caffeine, plenty of anger thanks to idiots, rocking out to Amon Amarth and Disturbed, and chewing through a difficult logic problem. It was wonderful.

Then.

Then there was a mandatory all-hands meeting. A mandatory meeting entirely consisting of someone doing a (admittedly decent) presentation on very basic marketing. (Basic as in "This is what ROI is." ๐Ÿ™„) It lasted for about 40 minutes, totally killing my zone and butchering my productivity. I've barely gotten anything done the rest of the day, thanks to that.

On the bright side, I worked out the logic on stickies during the talky-people bits. Maybe I'll be able to write it tomorrow.

I enjoy meetings. I get to step out of my office to go waste time somewhere else.

I also can't get chewed out for shit being delayed.

I normally space out or fuck around in my phone.

I skip out of it to go to the restroom and poop for the entirety of it.

It does wonders for my productivity when i get back.

I do wish they werent that long tho

+1 for awesome taste in music!
But yeah, those kind of meetings realy kills the energy. I always feel drained after having long ass meetings like that, I Wonder if marketing people feed of the enegry of those listening, like vampires.

My parent company has this kind of meetings and it really ruins the day. It's just a company update and a performance overview of all sub companies. I'm really not that bothered.
