Traser10515yYour laptop screen resolution is around 23x15 on the picture. And it has somewhat rotated pixels. Awesome!

SomeNone7115yI liked the previous docks better where you could just slam your laptop on top. However, after the warranty on my ThinkPad T450s ran out, they gave me a new T480s. It's a bit lighter and slimmer but connecting the USB-C cable takes longer than slamming the old one onto the dock.
Plus it has been giving me an error about the Thunderbolt port from day one. So far everything I need works despite that…
I have my own keyboard (Sharkoon PureWriter with clicky green switches) and mouse (Evoluent VerticalMouse 4) but they stay in work until I get fired or resign.
EDIT: I see you have the dock where you just slam the laptop on top, that's great! -
Premier loser.
@SomeNone the slammable docks on the more recent ThinkPads were quite hard to attach to properly. You'd have to push so hard that the lappy would flex (actually not that hard but it would still flex). A single USB-C is faster and easier. -
bahua128015yIt was partially because there is no actual dock that I stopped commuting with my work macbook. Just a hundred little dongles to plug in. When I bring my own laptop into the office, there is a similar jockeying of connectors, but no dongles. I miss docks.
-
@bahua there are docks where you plug everything into them and only connect your laptop into the dock (including power) with one cable.

Yeah, I convinced the company to buy me one. It broke after two days. So that was the end of that. -
@electrineer Aaaaah! Yeah, that's not up to me to decide... Totally agree with you then though...
-
@SomeNone Yeah. Most people at the office have those USB-C docks. What I like about those laptops is that they don't weigh as much as the T470p does. Though the dock is pretty nice :) And it makes it easy to position the laptop correctly ;)

@NoMad Haha, thanks. Looks completely different now though... 🙈 And the desk is adjustable, so I often stand ;)

So I felt like I had to give anotherone of these updates.
When I arrive at work all I do is connect my ThinkPad to my dock, and both monitors, keyboard and mouse goes live. Got a Hyper X Alloy and Corsair Harpoon just the other week, so no more bringing and ruining my own stuff. Just being able to "be live" in 1 minute is wonderful.
