So I have a date tomorrow. First meeting in person. I’ve got a little time to kill before hand, and need to learn Dart anyway....so I thought it would be fun to code her up something interactive. Kinda like that game Mr and Mrs. Only in the terminal, and for nerds.

Features, ladies and gentleman?

How long you two been talking?

To me, it seems a lil aggressive if it's still a fresh "relationship" (not as in dating, just a relationship in general) y'all have. I'd be kinda flattered if someone did that for me, but at the same time, I know a lot of people who'd be creeped out and/or wouldn't appreciate the effort.

I think you need to chill and go to sleep instead of doing crazy stuff like this.

    Get a haircut instead.

@M1sf3t that's a lot better of an idea.

Also, if she seems uninterested, don't harp on the subject too long. I've made that mistake a few times accidentally babbling about tech bc someone actually asked a question. Definitely missed the exit I was supposed to take and spent an extra mile on the highway lmao

@M1sf3t if I ever meet someone that is as interested as me I'mma uh hang on tight

But it wasn't a strikeout, just a strike.

I think I should have worded the original post a little better; this was meant to be the most Christmas cracker-like of productions; just a tiny novelty. I’m fairly confident I have enough gift of the gab to present such a thing in a way as to be funny, as opposed to obsessive. She’s pretty cool, but you ladies and gents meet me at the drier end of a long streak of dating. I am a wearied traveller on the dating scene, long in the tooth. Still, I continue to hold out some hope I still might find something worth holding onto again...

But points taken. I will leave it...this time around...
