Just had a company meeting. Basicly the company blamed all devs that they are losing money. Is it normal? It's my first workplace so I simply don't know. It felt bad, they low key threatened to firing lowest performing people. And said they will look at everyone's performance individually and eveluate if they are earning money from each person.

    You should immediately look for a different job and leave when you acquire that other job. Staying at a toxic company does you no good.

    BS.. Get out of there ASAP. Seems like the company heads have no idea what's going so horribly wrong and are looking for someone to point the finger at.

    In my experience, bad management is the norm in our industry. It is running my company right now. Your management is obviously clueless. Even if what they said was true, why do the finger pointing? Leave as soon as you have something else lined up, because they already have you first on the list to go.

    Was in an equal situation. The "management" is afraid of all the things and people they don't understand.

    It's also a psychological management "trick" to push efficiency...

    I hate those "tactics" and people who use them.

    I resigned and start my new job in January :)

    @apokalipscke

    I think it should be outlawed.

    Like if there isn't documented proof, bam, hostile work environment material.

    Ask them to reveal the turnover to the entire company so you can all see where things are at and try help improve it - wont happen, haha, but it shut up the manager at one of the companies I worked for after I said it in front of everyone.
