    Usually takes 20-30-ish minutes on my machine (installing new builds that is; smaller updates take even less).

    @kamen please, DO NOT SHOW-OFF. really pissed right now 😓

    @K4R71K I'm not showing off, I'm implying that there's probably something wrong with your machine.

    Since you chose Windows, do what it says 'Don't turn off your PC. This may take a while.'

    @kamen besides it being and AMD A8 and having 2GBs of ram and a 5400rpm hard disk; i don't think there's something wrong 😂

    Last time IT pushed a feature update onto my company laptop (ThinkPad T480s with oodles of RAM and SSD) it took about 30 minutes. I can imagine that a RAM-starved PC with a slow rotating piece of rust will take significantly longer.

    I learned that MacOS is worth, regarding time consumption during and unfunctional software after the update.

    and you're fucked if no ssd when it comes to OS upgrades

    @K4R71K "AMD A8 and having 2GBs of ram and a 5400rpm hard disk"

    ...

    And I thought vim users hated themselves...

    Are you getting paid during the update? I.e. is it a work computer?

    @projektaquarius I'm a sole proprietor so... Maybe 😂

    Well, this will take a while !

    I had the same problem when trying to get Windows 10 on my TRS-80 and my Commodore-64.

    I experienced this a couple of weeks ago. My PC was on that screen for more than 48 hours until I got tired of waiting and reversed the update.

    > not having an ssd

    The 1909 Update literally took me 5 minutes to install on a 2014 notebook
