I just discovered D. How is it not popular?

By D I mean DLang. For all of you, dirty minds.

Because of its way to short name? D, E or R could be anything if you don't know anything about programming languages. C is only popular because it was "sold" to pascal and basic programmers in the 80ties as an direct improvment.
