If this is a pattern. You are experiencing a real life race condition. Prop yourself up, polish your public image, and start applying for other jobs now. You have less and less capacity to do anything outside of work including finding another job. Even having the hope that the next job is more sustainable can be enough to escape. You eventually will not have the resources to do that later which is why you do it now. -
irene33915y@CaptainRant I have been every time as well. Usually my life after work shrivels and I excel at work. If you are losing balance in life after work because of burnout then you should change that before it is too late. Just think, could I repeat this work pattern for the next five years? If no then you are using your personal time to pay for work. Your work doesn’t pay you for 15 hours a day. Be careful and take action sooner than later.
