@theKarlisK Only really from monkeypatching, or poor design which you can achieve in any language. Rails lends itself to spaghetti much moreso than vanilla Ruby, e.g. through `delegate` and the wonky inheritance models some devs make, or magic constants.

Python and Ruby take about equal development time for me. I have gone down the Go or Rust path, used up a few hours, and then wrote the same thing in Python or Ruby in 15 min because I got frustrated.

@v-vp python arguing with ruby over performance and optimized code is like watching two snails bragging about who’s the fastest of them.

Do you guys even realize how silly you sound arguing about languages like this?

All I see is "hello hammer, I can screw this screw faster with a screwdriver"

I'm gonna go ahead and bet the farm that this happened to you because you are better at Ruby than you are at python. Not because of any deficiency in python.

Choosing one SCRIPTING language over another because of performance is idiotic.
