Jquery = *only* if you need IE support.

This is 2020, go learn vue/react instead.

Lead with that! The best reasons to learn jQuery:

1. You want a long career in unemployment
2. Your major was archaeology, with a minor in dead languages
3. JavaScript was way too hard for you
4. You get excited by words like DOM, bind and chaining, but also 3.
5. You heard about Fetch, but don't like dogs
6. Your religion doesn't allow you to acknowledge the existence of Elements
7. You think newspapers are the best way to observe events
8. You're a John Resig fan, but for the same reason @rutee07 is

jQuery is kind of a reasonable way to support both latest Chrome and IE11 at the same time.

@Afrographics Clients of clients. They aren't like clinging super hard to it, maybe we'll be phasing it out. We're hopefully moving to Angular soon.
