@Afrographics while I agree plain JS can do a lot, this rant is still pretty retarded lmao
-
-
@Afrographics One reason is when application already leverages jQuery, otherwise I don't see need for it! :)
-
@Afrographics This is wild Nerdistan where most people equate "chatty mood" with "cranking up the compiler warning level and reading the warnings".
-
C0D4669025yJquery = *only* if you need IE support.
This is 2020, go learn vue/react instead.
Note: I use Jquery and I'm telling you not to use it 🤔 -
@Afrographics
Lead with that! The best reasons to learn jQuery:
1. You want a long career in unemployment
2. Your major was archaeology, with a minor in dead languages
3. JavaScript was way too hard for you
4. You get excited by words like DOM, bind and chaining, but also 3.
5. You heard about Fetch, but don't like dogs
6. Your religion doesn't allow you to acknowledge the existence of Elements
7. You think newspapers are the best way to observe events
8. You're a John Resig fan, but for the same reason @rutee07 is
I mean, there's more, but that should about cover it -

kamen69255y@Afrographics Clients of clients. They aren't like clinging super hard to it, maybe we'll be phasing it out. We're hopefully moving to Angular soon.
I don't need jQuery🙄
