I'm feeling empty. All my friends and roomates went home. But I stayed in hostel. I haven't touched my laptop from last 3 days. I'm just lying on bed staring at ceiling. I'm not even in a relationship, so I call my mother everyday to get the feeling of being loved.
This quarantine is strange. First few days I spent my time playing video games, watching Netflix, laughing at memes. But Now I'm feeling empty. Very strange thoughts are now occupying my mind. I'm sleeping 10+ hrs, and staring at ceiling or outside window most of the time. My room is a mess. Forget washing hands, I don't even feel like standing up to switch on lights.
I'm not saying I feel sad or depressed, I just feel very strange.

@pythonInRelay yes. With friends I never spent a day thinking that much

@M1sf3t yes. This must be due to sudden change in environment. It'll get back to normal soon

@molaram feeling empty like, I'm a stone. No purpose, no emotions, I just exist, observing the world around me

Perfect time to start some sort of dev related side project.

I relate to that. Special thanks to BF, for calling me every day, or I would've lost my sanity last Monday. I'm also PMSing, so you can guess :P

And I'm not even that social nowadays anyways. I'm pretty sure my souls was swapped with another from an alternative universe, where I'm a grumpy man in his fifties, living in a city like Mumbai or Delhi or Jakarta or Manila or Shanghai or any similar dense cities, who owns a small grocery store and wears a wifebeater and a pair of mama's shorts and flip flops every day, going bald with a two days unshaven beard and a strong smell of foody body odor. So you can guess how social I am :P

But yeah, being isolated doesn't do me any favors either. but hey, there are also discord servers, where you can find new friends or play games or basically socialize. I suggest you try that.

I kind of know that feeling buddy...

7 years ago I got a job as a engineer in another state... and got to live in a hotel room for 8 months.

Away from family and girlfriend. Tuff times.

At first it was cool. I was living in a hotel. Every day people cleaning my room. Washing my clothes... and free food (good food).

It was awesome for 2 months... than great for 1 month... then ok for 1 more month...the last 4 months were really difficult.

But I had a xbox360 that I bought with my first salary... and he keep me entertained.

But dont worry man... everything is temporary. After some time, this will just be something to tell your friends as a memory.

Hey, that sorta sounds like depression, m'dude. Like, feeling empty, no motivation, etc. Not going to armchair diagnose you over the internet, but like... if you can talk to a professional then you should. Hell, even if it isn't depression it sounds like something you might want to talk about with someone.

@NoMad you're right, multiplayer games don't make us feel lonely! All the best going through those times

@Magauw 'everything is temporary'. This feels good when we're sad and bad when we're happy :)
Kudos to you spending that much time alone, I can't imagine doing that

Guys I tried to meditate, try different workouts, multiplayer games. I'm feeling a lot normal now than before. And more power to you for going through tough days. Thank you for listening to me here and sharing your experiences. That's why I love this place!
