So, those of you who have been in quarantine for more than a week, how are you keeping your sanity?

Specially the news, goddamn, people are so stupid. The number of infected around here has been skyrocketing so I'm not even afraid of getting the virus anymore, I'm more afraid of the damn numbers going up.

Also, those of you who don't live alone, need not reply. ๐Ÿ˜

I like my independence, but goddamn this feels a lot like being in luxury solitary confinement. Plus, I have to cook for myself.

Urghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    what i like is local businesses and farmers families are discovering e-commerce and home delivery. So i get fresh veggies directly from the farm.
    Also awesome is that everyone is super relaxed.

    @heyheni I can cook, but I don't like my own cooking. Lol. Nothing ever tastes good enough.

    Thanks for the suggestions tho!

    @NoMad
    No better time then now to up your cooking skills.

    @Benutzername try having food by chefs often, and then you'll understand what I mean. ๐Ÿ˜›

    @NoMad you are spoiled and I'm jealous ๐Ÿค”
  • 4
    @Benutzername or cursed, but yes traveling (and not being broke too often) does spoil you so bad. ๐Ÿ˜œ

    @molaram already have unfinished books and TV shows. That's what I've been keeping myself occupied with for the past week.
    But imho books and mental health are not correlated.

    @NoMad or you could venture into exploring the effects of drugs by scouting telegram for your local dealer. ๐Ÿ™ƒ
  • 2
    @heyheni ahahahaha. How do I do that?
  • 2
    @NoMad you're a smart person you'll figure that out. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  • 2
    @heyheni I need more direction than that ๐Ÿ˜ I know how to find random people nearby, just not how to pick a "friendly" one ๐Ÿ˜œ

    @heyheni "last seen a long time ago" ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I think he's taking an involuntary quarantine.

    But yeah, judging by the numbers, I'm not sure if ppl here are using this advanced piece of tech. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    @NoMad je suis au charbon , je suis au charbon

    Can you understand french?๐Ÿ˜

    I did loved confinement, but now I getting a lot of calls now at home, and I goddamn hate calls.
  • 2
    I'm self confined, and I've been getting my gf to visit me, now an 8 day quarantine has been imposed so no more visits, I think I'm going to use that time to validate some ideas that I've been having.

    @heyheni about local businesses discovering e-commerce, I'm so happy with that. And I find here a huge opportunity for every dev in the world. This will shift people buying habits. Literally everyone in my country is forced by government to stay at home for 40 days. So maybe a new social habit will emerge from this crisis.

    @galileopy time to start your own farmer webshop. Call some farmers and hire a marketing guy on fiverr.com ๐Ÿ˜„

    I work out at home and read as well as play videogames.

    I also get to spend time with my family, which is always nice from how hectic work is :D

    To me any excuse to leave the house is good, thus far this shit has saved me from going to a weeding that I did not wanted to go, or a lot of other social gatherings that I did not wanted to be a part of, and this makes me feel gooooood :D

    Been tracking gunshots.

    It's every half hour now.

    My everyday life is identical to quarantine. Who knew?

    @Afrographics mais non. Aber ich spreche sehr schlecht Deutch ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

    Anyways, are you saying that you're outside? Because afaik the French are under lock down and your president said something about war and race against time and stuff.

    @Wisecrack care to elaborate?
  • 3
  • 2
    @heyheni Just gunshots at night, every half hour. Different calibers. Shits crazy. I guess it's people celebrating their freedom or some shit. Good for them.

    But more likely it's gang activity knowing this area. Someone on a bike, dressed in all black, was going around the area fucking killing people. Think it was two people killed by the same suspect from what I heard.

    Anyone else seeing and hearing an uptick in shootings?

    ah the wonders of the u s a.๐Ÿ˜ข

    No never heard gunshots in neighborhoods in my life, as i've gotten the jackpot in the birth lottery. Beeing the son of Swiss and Norwegian parents. The two wealthiest and peaceful countries on earth. It makes me sad to hear your story @Wisecrack. Gun violence and tooth ache and no money. I wish you best of luck and success on your path of becoming a programmer. And i wish you that you can move to a safer place in the future. You may want to move abroad?

    @heyheni I cannot in good faith abandon my nation any more than I could abandon my elderly neighbor no matter how cynical I pretend to be. I am however glad for your good circumstance. Take care.
