I also just found out that after we consume 200GB of data our speed gets slowed down from 120Mbps to 35Mbps, how cool is that? Every single month we consume more than 200GB, that's nothing. Wow I'm fucking pissed.

At least the DNS issues are easy to solve by not using the provider's resolver.

Don't use your ISP's DNS that's for chumps

@ItsaMeTuni I always use google's (8.8.8.8) but you might wanna check out cloudflare (1.1.1.1)

I don't remember their backup servers

All the free privacy-aware DNS resolver out there have crappy performance.
So either run your own recursive resolver for full DNSSEC support and maximum privacy.
Or just use Google, Cloudflare or any other big public DNS if you are less paranoid.
There may also be paid DNS, wich probably would sort of be the middle ground between the two previous options...

@Oktokolo thanks. Eh fuck my privacy, what's so interesting about my life? Also I don't have any clue about what's DNSSEC and can't be bothered to look it up :)

Well, just go for Google then.
Based on your answer i suspect, that you are not using a browser extension wich would block the omnipresent tracking stuff integrated into most web pages and therefore Google would know what sites you visit anyway...
