hitko31455y@molaram It's not like I care about them lol, I care about things govt may do to control people if it turns out they're not following the rules, like monitoring everyone's phone location :(
-
Things are about to happen if they don't turn the lights back on:
People who don't have essential jobs will start robbing the people who do have essential jobs.
People will start robbing stores to get basic necessities.
Right now there is a lull in crime. This trend will reverse and probably get worse.
It doesn't help when there are retards saying we need to do this for 18 months. How detached from reality does one have to be to think that?
People's livelihoods are literally being wiped off the map as small businesses are going to struggle to come back. Some things just won't come back. I personally know a few small business owners and they are pissed. The numbers are nowhere near the numbers predicted by the chicken little dooms day advocates. I suspect if there is another pandemic down the road the public won't be so keen to do this again. I think good hygiene and social distancing are probably enough in the future. -
TafT265y@Demolishun if a government wants to prevent people from earning a living for 18 months that means that the government must support and fund those people for 18 months. That at least seems to be the rough goal for most governments in Europe at the moment (although I am sure they are all hoping for 8 weeks not 18 months).

In fact, in order to reach social immunity, new ppl still need to get infected, but at a slower speed than what the sanitary infrastructure can handle.
So it is a tough regulation question, not only a binary opinion based question -
hitko31455y@Demolishun Yeah I've seen a lot of local businesses struggling, but it's mostly the kind of businesses where it's been only a matter of time and this merely speed things up. E.g.:
- local bar went out of business, but it's been losing customers before as it's been the only place around not offering craft beer
- a company where 95% of production went to this brand is likely going bankrupt as the brand cancelled the contract (a few years ago the same guy told me insuring such an important contract isn't necessary)
- a whole lot of bullshit self-employed web developers, no need to explain why
- same for a bunch of low quality self-employed tourist guides
- a bunch of tiny shops surviving only for old people not knowing how ordering online or going to a "proper" store would save them good 10% - 20% for the same or better product
- contractors operating on a month-to-month basis, who ignored basic financial liquidity recommendations while spending profits on their houses and cars -

Vlad III. Drăculea or Vlad Țepeș (Țepeș is a rumanian word for impaling). He was a ruler of a region in wallachia. His surname means son of the Dragon/devil (depending on the language). He is a national Hero, who fought the osmans and one of the gistoric inspirations of Brahm Stokers Dracula. -
@hitko I know of a dress shop that has been in business 30 years that is not sure it will survive. So they have been through tough times before during ups and downs.
-
@hitko I do agree that there will some net positive effect to culling stuff that should be dead. Any recession will do that.

Same shit here.. every restriction is just the 'new govt trying to control us'.. yeah well stop walking around like everything is normal then!? FFS, stop going to parks in groups, stop letting kids running all over the playgrounds, stop visiting tourist attractions!! Maybe, just maybe.. use some common sense?! I mean before the government enforced closing of bars & restaurants (but asked to selfisolate nevertheless) the bars were packed 30 minutes after opening.. WTF?! Well maybe if you're so dense and cannot listen to the doctors recommendations..then maaaaybeeee you do need to be super controlled and supervised by the govt (like a fuckin toddler)?!
+ docs & nurses are telling us to wash hands and cough in the elbow/upper arm.. um..so this is not a thing?! There are people that do this only because of corona?! O.o
+ people are raging on FB because tv used 'granny with a walking stick' icon to represent opening hours for endangered groups like elderly, pregnant women, people with health issues..
//because that icon really was the point of that news.. and meant to insult everyone.. yaay.. :/
+ people are already petitioning against covid19 vaccine.. that it mustn't be mandatory because the virus changes often and it MIGHT be useless.. but will also contain potentional nanobots we cannot get rid of.. O.o // and yes, in petition they used disease name in several places
FML! I think my country wins over yours!!
Sometimes I think that our avg IQ is above zero only because we have some good chess players.. //it's a joke..the negative IQ part..not that our avg is waaaaay below standards.. o.O
edit:
Forgot to mention people who think covid19 is fake and coverup so they can install 5G towers..
And the ones who do not want to order takeout because it might be handled by sick person, yet themselves work in bars with questionable clientele and poor hygene standards.. -
hitko31455y@Demolishun On one hand I feel kinda sorry for them, on the other hand if you spend 30 years without gaining enough resources / experience / agility to survive a couple of (very) rough months, then a situation like this one probably isn't the only reason you're going out of business...

stop68025y@sladuled iq-tests are designed so 100 is the average for an artificial group. This means there are people over and under the average. "Dumb" and people who are lost in the society are easily swayed are easily influenced by speaches that set them over other people. Nazi-Germany, southafrika, Rwandan genocide, these are only some examples how wrong this is.
-
Be careful with IQ tests. If you read up the neural science behind it you will either be convinced they are racist as hell, or intrigued by the data they have found about different ethnicities. After reading a whole book on the science of intelligence and how IQ tests are developed I am convinced almost nobody understands IQ tests except the neuroscientists. They are used for all sorts of things inappropriately IMO.
God I fucking hate my country! The moment it looks like we've managed to control covid spread by limiting movement between cities / municipalities and banning people from public places, and we may just be able to slowly loosen some restrictions, some fucktard on national TV starts telling people how all those restrictions are unbearable just because they came from the "wrong" political option. And people listen to that idiot more than all doctors telling them to stay safe.
The worst part is we probably wouldn't even limit movement if it didn't become obvious people are hoarding natural attraction / getting injured by extreme sports / inviting friends & relatives over when told to stay at home and avoid public places.
