Yeah, my family making weird noises on the background.

People not realising that the sound quality is more important than the video.

Constantly being in the '1% of Skype calls with audio/video issues' in our organisation.

We're a 130k plus people corp, tough fucking luck, HUH?!

@cherkie Is there only (supposedly) 1% of Skype users having issues?

"Your connection is unstable" and host disabled text chat.

Only a handful of virtual meeting apps allow you to virtually raise your hand!
  • 3
People who insist on conducting meetings for things they could understand and learn from documentation

Just because you can speak doesn't mean you have to pull in others and waste their time

Children screaming/talking, playing loud games, or banging on locked doors because they're locked.

Having to use a combination of:
    Zoom
    Webex
    MS teams

Depending on whom I'm talking too, knowing zoom and teams has shit video quality, and webex rarely connects or stays connected, having to disable camera in Teams otherwise the audio gets choppy when someone's on a piss poor internet connection.

And that's just to keep up with different departments inside the company, like - fucking pick one and use it 🤷‍♂️

@rutee07 Plus kicking and banging on the door. 🙄 Also: they're handles, not knobs, and the 4yo hangs on them with all of his weight. The one on our room is so bent inside that it barely works anymore. Going to be a great day when that breaks and traps us inside. Better day if it traps us outside, since it opens inward -- no hinges to remove.

Any features you think are missing from these video conf applications which should be there?

    @msrivastava574 Automatic makeup.

@Root Or.... You could do a "real time deepfake" using a recording of yourself with make-up and stuff!

@Jilano Or I could be Johnny Sins. 😊

Choppy audio so they can't hear or understand me well and I end up typing what I said. When using WebEx when someone gets disconnected you hear that beep sound which becomes annoying because it happens when someone logs in and drops out.

@msrivastava574 Yeah, the ability to put a video loop, so they think you're actually engaged.
