So I just had to look up, what a "Deeplink" actually is.. Why the fuck do we need a word for this and why is it only used by marketers.

    Because the marketing wankers would prefer people to go all the way through their crappy portal, having to click through 120 levels and see ads upon every click.

    @Fast-Nop you forgot the ... without anyway of getting out or closing the browser or changing tab or doing anything at all without entering you're credit card.

    according to wiki, the term has some legal context to go along the marketing aspect. Mostly to do with copywriting and fair use laws.

    So apparently by instructing your web server to serve specified content in response to an HTTP request without iframe-blocking or cross-origin headers you don't inherently accept that your content will be served in embedded iframes or displayed on other pages. Marvelous.
