Don't worry! It's still there as some three key combination which is hard to remember.

now you can buy "iescape" for $99.99 from the store

@ramk It's gonna plug into the headphone jack.

The escape key is still there. It's a OLED that changes the keys. In the picture you see the functions for Apple Pay.

    There is no escape

What I meant by "there is no escape" is that, there is no physical escape key.

@zpook Still not a real button.
And I can already imagine Siri randomly activating and replacing the Esc button with something else.

    Siri: "Share 'for(int i=0; i < ' on facebook?"
    User: "Stop! Cancel!"
Siri: "Adding text 'Job is cancer'"

Since there is no official word today and since this is just a leak, we won't really know if there really ain't no escape. However if this is the case, I assume it will still be available on that touch strip thingy.

Either way, etc or no esc. I'd still buy it xD

@uziiuzair I think Apple uses accurate pictures in their own OS.

But I must say as someone who's never used a Mac this is the first Macbook that I actually find quite interesting.
Although I understand why these features are controversial.

@StefanH oh I was not aware of that! Well in that case, I shall purchase the 99.99$ Wireless iESC key. 👀

@deadlyRants You can always map ESC to another key...for example Caps Lock. Just go to settings. :)

@deadlyRants I actually like this design. Sigh, should've waited these three months, I upgraded my mac without thinking haha

    @uziiuzair I don't hate this design either, it's just...unusual.
And as a Vim user I think it'd take a while to get rid of the muscle memory.
