I swap them, because I feel more comfortable programming in normal mode in the day, at night, I switch to dark mode and I'm ready to go!

At least both are using a proper text editor. I have "programmer" friends who use Vim for programs that are over a 100 lines.

@cebonet Vim is great when wanna work on small scripts or make minor edits, but I feels it's simply more productive to use GUI text editors like atom/sublime when you have to work on much larger projects.

@cebonet I agree Vim is powerful, but it takes time master it and customize it. Much faster to just use GUI based ones, which often come with more tools. But yeah, it all comes down to personal preferences.

Both, I use dark for JavaScript (VSCode) and white for Java (Eclipse...). Too lazy to find the background preference option.
