Yeah all these "wow, you've been exercising a lot, right?" would be annoying.

I thought PornHub is for searching different content

@frogstair cause it mentioned in the video that it’s filled with deepfakes
    More than the political domain

Although it does sound like i had a intuition for it in my post

@sudocode haha good one , you should do stand-up ( i am not talking about comedy)

I could never imagine my family thinking I actually have sex. What a nightmare
  • 1
@12bitfloat ya but what is sex , people keep talking about it i have no idea
  • 1
    @hardfault No clue, I'm a programmer

@12bitfloat exactly I always mistake it with ‘sed’ but my friend told it’s different

Actually, if anything, deepfakes are great news. Think about if the famous Kim Kardashian video came out today: she could just claim it's a deepfake. She didn't have that luxury when her sex tape came out, everyone knew it was real

@AlgoRythm right, nukes are good news too, they can be used to make electricity.

@hardfault deepfakes are usually only a face plastered over as similar of a pornstars body the studio can find. The voice and intricate body details (skin marks, exact build, etc) won't match up.

I'm really not that concerned about deepfakes at all.

@AlgoRythm ok it’s because you are not sick a person,
a sick person can take a homemade porn + person face that they wanna harass and make a video usually in dim light the defects of deep-fakes are not seen
Even in good lightning based on some output i have seen from algorithms boy they are getting too close to original. I too thought that they are bad but the training is making it better and better

And sound, Cmon fake-sounds where already perfected in 1990s . Have you heard cortana , that bitch creeps me out

@hardfault I bet I could smash Cortana in a turing test.

And as I said, as deepfakes get more and more of a problem, people will stop believing them. And it will make actual leaked sex tapes less harmful too.

It will get worse and then it will get better, yeah?
  • 3
@AlgoRythm Not that a leaked sex tape would be harmful for useless attention whores like the Kardashians, quite the contrary.
  • 4
@Fast-Nop yeah but when the pope finally gets his gay DP vid leaked it will cause a few waves
  • 1
@AlgoRythm Yeah actually for anyone who is famous for good reason because the tape would distract from that.
  • 1
@Fast-Nop but if deepfakes were common.... He could claim it's an "un-holey" fraud
  • 2
@AlgoRythm That's why I agree that this will be only a short-lived trend.

On top of that, you can't even trust photo/video today because even if it isn't faked, it's often misrepresented as belonging to a totally different context, or important details are intentionally left out.

And even if it doesn't, staging shit has been common mainstream media practice for quite a while. Paying rioters to start rioting right in front of the camera is a surefire way to have the "news" first on TV.

@Fast-Nop I'm remembering the numerous times this year that major media outlets have used scenes from video games (even being so lazy as to just use the trailers off YouTube) and tried to pass them off as footage.

Fake news. They're all real videos.

@hardfault yes yes.. and to terraform mars..ya know, heat it up a bit

@vortex not possible gravity is less there not sure it’s strong enough to hold the atmosphere made of oxygen.
  • 0
@hardfault no idea.. Im just a web developer.. but ppl smarter than me joked that this should do the trick
  • 1
@hardfault The moon has even less gravity, and the flags were swaying in the wind. OK that's because it was filmed on Earth, obviously. :P
  • 0
@Fast-Nop oh geezzzzz... how about it’s swaying due to weightlessness !!
I wonder if someone could simulate it 3d max or nastran to see how a rectangular cloth tied to one side by a pole behaves in g/6

@hardfault Well the flags are not the only evidence. The McDonald's in the background of the landing place is much worse.
