Question time;

Do you guys pronounce the database query language as 'S.Q.L.' or 'See-quel'

Personally hearing the latter makes me want to punch the person saying it right in the throat.

*****edit
Please forgive the pea-roast, didn't check to see if this had been previously asked.

    I just learned it as "sequel". It's hard to change habits once they form. But I know people who feel as strongly about those who say "S.Q.L." as you do about the likes of me!!

    @DarkMukke But sure we love getting ourselves into endless cycles of arguing over pointless nomenclature!!

    Wow! Sarcasm, that's really clever, well done you!!

    Check the edit in original post, unfortunately there is no delete post button (that I know of) so I guess we are now stuck with 6, sorry for ruining your day.

    I flip flop based off of what the other person calls it. But if nothing has been said I start with sequel, if the person knows what that means. If I'm talking to someone who had never heard of the language I say S.Q.L.

    S-Q-L

    So you S.Q.L people really refer to NoSQL as No-S.Q.L. ..... really?
