So I've been tinkering with this idea since this morning:
There should be a dictionary for developers, to help give meaningful names for variables, functions.

With some pipe like interface to narrow down possible names,

It's a good Idea... It will be fun if you go ahead and design it...we need to think about how the name pool will be derived.. you can refer all open source code base available to acquire the vocabulary but that's incomplete idea.. without the rules to make them meaningful... How can one choose a more meaningful subset of variable names.. we need to measure the context some how to give meaning to the vocabulary subset...
This might be modeled as a linguistic problem considering each variable name as a language element.. dayum... A lot of thinking can go into this and it will be fun..I am doing a lot of guesswork cause I don't know half of what I am talking about.. but this idea is bloody intriguing.. I encourage you to think more on this.. NLP might help in this regard..just saying..

Why are we not funding this?
