I use Atom, it's nice. It might take you a while to configure it, but that would be the same for everything...

@aki237 Only thing I used in my whole career is Visual Studio.
My general impression was that IDE is better than an editor (bias due to Visual Studio and to be honest I don't know any better as I haven't tried anything else)
I feel like a newbie switching from Windows to Linux and confused with overwhelming options available (eclipse, netbeans, atom sublime, bluefish) so looking out for guidance. -
Pointer32378yIf you're a student or can afford it, use JetBrains' IDE's, they're awesome.
But it also depends on what do you want to do. Lately, I've been working with Haskell, thus far, Atom with plugins beat IntelliJ with the Haskell plugin by way too much. -
jimmeh10498yAnother vote for Atom. I use VS on my Win10 machine for .net only. All other dev work is done on Atom, windows or Linux.

Thanks every one for input, I have started with Atom, will be exploring other options after that...
A side note: setting up Arch is difficult, getting hang of it... Kudos to all Linux Gurus out there who work with multiple distros...
Thanks all for your help... -
Pointer32378y@BuggyBrain If you need to get up to speed ASAP, you can try Arch-Anywhere, it simply works 😁
