    Even worse is when you finishes working and just want to shutdown and grab your laptop and run off to that important date youre already late to - and _then_ windows decides it's a good time to start downloading those Gb's of updates...

    If you need it to boot fast then hibernate it instead of shutting down, I hardly ever shut my pc off because of convenience.

    I gave the windows update service disabled lol. also haven't shut down in probably 6 months

    Try Linux man. It's way faster and doesn't do any annoying mysterious crap.

    @kyleperik I've tried. But I can't switch OS. And I don't only code when I kick my lappy on. Some softwares are only meant for Windows.

    That is the monopoly that is Microsoft... There are many more better options than Visual Studio

    I'm a VFX artist. I need access to Adobe software suite, AutoDesk Maya, Nuke and some plugins that are only developed for Windows.
