Just spent literally six hours trying to get my aunt's enterprise-grade 20 mb fiber optic Internet back on tracks.
Two hours trying to reach the technical support, two hours to explain that I was "unexpectedly" hung up by the previous attendant, and honest to hell, two more hours trying to explain what "latency" is.

Seriously, how much do they pay these technicians nowadays?

    Most call center technicians read from scripts, and if you deviate from their script they are totally lost.

    That's how it goes nowadays..

    I have a hobby where I constantly deviate from the script and see how they end up, particularly those at MediaTemple and WPEngine! I could write a book at some of the gaffs they have made!

    I wouldn't even attempt 'latency' with them!
