i remember this happening so much i would get called into rooms just to start something that was "broken"

Just talk at the computer:

"Yeah, your better run! Not so big when someone your own size stands up to you, eh? Don't start crap you can't finish, do this again and I'll put windows ME on you!"

And just walk away without even acknowledging other humans, like it was genuinely the most normal thing to do in that situation.
