Any suggestions on a laptop for a dev? I hope to dual boot Windows and Linux. Any suggestions are appreciated! 😃

Little but maybe already known tip: set the system clock of windows to UTC in the registry to avoid timezone headaches.

There are two several ways some of them are, partition the disk and use a VM. Any laptop with a SSD 128+ will suffice.

What kind of dev? Of you are a game dev look at the Lenovo y series. Good bang for your buck

The Lenovo T-series is robust. I use an old T520.

@ddulic I'm actually a student right now so I've been doing a variety of different things. I also work in IT for a local credit union. I write scripts and do some web development.

@Drekt I've been looking at the XPS 13. It seems nice and 512gb SSD is enough to give both OS's enough space.

@ethan it's a killer laptop. Got mine a few weeks back and love it. Storage is changeable so you can bump it up to 1TB if needed, future proof with a USB type c port and its a 13 inch laptop in the body of an 11 inch laptop. So easy to carry around all day. Only thing I would suggest. Get 16gb of ram as it is soldered on.

@jpichardo I'm doing all my coding in MacOS. I don't need Window or Linux.
