Imposter syndrome is such a bitch

It feels so good to finally be able to achieve something without constant self doubt (okay I lied, but atleast I am actually programming)

But fuck me it's hard to keep reminding myself that it's okay, it's fine if it's not perfect, just evaluate all the possible solutions and pick the best one, it's fine

What's all this BS about being an imposter? Like, if you don't think you are worthy just read some fucking programming books. You are going to trump your colleagues in no time.

It's all just different abstractions build on top of each other. Same principles, different names. And it all fucking suck and is chock-full of clever hacks and workarounds.

Now let me go back to my daydream about being a golden retriever living with a rich family in Maine instead of dealing with all this fucking bullshit. Error on line 2954 my ass.

Algorithms that get the job done and have contextually appropriate time and space complexities are usually the right choice.

@SuspiciousBug Sounds like you haven't read about Imposter Syndrome and met people who had it.
    It's not a BS thing...

One important thing to do is STOP comparing yourself to other programmers. There's always some programmer who is even better than the best. Your competition should be yourself; moving from one point to another, that's progress.

After playing Among Us a few times I know now that I’m a bad imposter 😞

@SuspiciousBug You don't get it. The problem isn't lack of ability but self doubt and unrealistic standards
