nebula18704yi do not like android 11 :/ feels like it becomes ios with those storage restrictions
-
Looks like it allows users to have more control over what happens on their phone. In that sense it looks good.

What exactly do you need to change because of it when building a rom? I have tried to develop a rom myself a tiny bit, but I've never got as far as I would've wanted to.
-
@h0pk1do I have compiled existing targets with minor tweaks. I have dreamt of getting something to run on some lollipop era devices I have that don't have any custom roms. What's preventing me is that I'm not completely sure where to even start and I have a hunch it may be a waste of time and effort to even try. And I've got plenty of other stuff to do.

h0pk1do164y@electrineer you know what's funny!? I was actually thinking about doing the same! I know my old lg k7 was on lollipop and hasn't had any development on it, so thought about making it a project π€

@electrineer
11 makes it easy to spot who was deliberate about their feature usage and who wasn't π€ -
We're seeing the rehash of "I NEED ACCESS TO ALL THE FEATURES ALL THE TIME DAMMIT" syndrome. Devs hated that when it came in for the same reason.
