What's the general consensus around here for a dnd group, dev edition?

(I personally prefer open legend)

Also, does anyone remember the old rpg stuff we had going on here ages ago? Legit miss those.

    How deep into dev do you wanna make it? Just some ideas (expect bad ones)

    - Charisma helps you get along with management and make them think you're doing a huge amount of work so they give you a raise or more time on the problem. Can also win you some clients

    - Strength / Agility helps you with short-term goals (Hollywood hack the Pentagon) whereas intelligence helps you more with long term projects

    - DoS freezes the enemy
    - SQL injection dumbs them down, or perhaps makes them forget who they are
    - dormant mind-controlling spells
    - minion-based spells (similar to how Necromancers can have zombie armies)

    - Goblins and other monsters are switched for kinds of bugs. Make it all generally insect-themed
    - Spiders are neutral tho. You can train them to help you but lawful evil NPC's use them as minions (like Google)
    - go all Star Trek Discovery Mycelial-network but with spiderwebs

    - there are two good kingdoms: the Gnu kingdom and the Penguin kingdom. You must defend these realms

    @eo2875 not too bad. But like, can I nuke a few managers' houses? I'd love to do that. Lololololol.

    If this is about making a group, count me in. I play TTRPGs regularly, wouldn't mind pitching in to design one since I run custom rulesets anyway.

    Ooooh I like where this is going

    @RememberMe @Lyym you two could design a rad game. πŸ˜†

    Be warned, I always play a bit off-game. 😜

    @NoMad a bit is an understatement 😜 but it's fun to be challenged from time to time

    @NoMad lol, after having three campaigns derailed spectacularly I'd like to think I'm used to it...(still catches me off guard though)

    @ODXT you might also be interested in this.

    I have been summoned!

    Open Legend RPG rules for those interested: https://openlegendrpg.com/core-rule...

    Yes, it's free :)

    @RememberMe who do you play with? I like them already. Lol.
    Actually, if you have campaigns that I could join (global time-wise) I'd be interested.
    (Tho probably in a few months when I settle, for longer games)

    @ODXT dev edition tho!

    @NoMad
    Yeah, what I like about this system is that it is setting independent. So it can be used to play Harry Potter, Avatar the Last Airbender, Full Metal Alchemist, or probably Dev theme as well.

    @ODXT Open Legend is awesome, shame I've never been able to use it because le players prefer something a bit more...traditional. I almost always end up running simplified D&D 5e with each class being custom made for the character.

    @NoMad a bunch of really close friends from school and college, so they give 0 fucks about making the DM's (i.e. my) life hell. I have a small private long-running game (the three derailed campaigns...) and also randomly get people together to play if I feel like it. All online, of course. We've all moved to different parts of the world.

    I don't have any games apart from my regular one at the moment, but why don't we all make one? Sounds like there are a bunch of interested people here, could make a Discord server for it or something.
